Empressmag.com and magazine will feature relationship, career, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle articles, and well as articles on political, financial and social issues. Empress's goal is to have our readers dictate what they would like to read and see in Empress.
Please send a query letter rather than submitting a completed manuscript. If you would like to submit more than one idea, write a separate query for each topic. Essays submitted for these pages should run no longer than 500 words. We cannot discuss story ideas over the telephone, but we will respond to queries that come by e-mail.
Give us a clear outline of your story; one page is sufficient. It would also help to include a brief biography that describes your writing experience, and some clips.
Empress is dedicated to helping, and making sure every voice is heard and represented correctly, therefore every writer new and old will be taken into consideration.
All manuscripts must be typed and double-spaced. We cannot be responsible for unsolicited material. Be sure to include your name, address and daytime phone number. Allow four to six weeks for review.
