THE DOC FILES: MICHAEL JACKSON’S DOCTOR MIGHT LOSE LICENSE
Michael Jackson’s former doctor Today Dr. Conrad Murray is scheduled to appear in court to find out if he will still have his doctor’s license. Allegations of murder from the Jackson family fueled the doctor eventually being accused of homicide. Murray gave Jackson an overdose of Propofol, a strong anesthetic that puts users to sleep.
According to Murray’s defense lawyer Ed Chernoff, the doctor will not be able to afford legal fees if his license is successfully revoked.
No job = inability to compensate his lawyer = justice at jeopardy.
Despite knowledge of Michael Jackson’s drug abuse, his family stands firmly behind the speculation that the doctor is responsible for the pop star’s death. Janet Jackson stated her opinion on Good Morning America and Joe Jackson to several press outlets.
Do you think it’s fair for the doctor’s license to be revoked, especially considering that might put the whole trial at risk?
IPAD…IS THE HYPE WORTHY?
Steve Jobs has again enjoyed the benefits of his company’s genius marketing abilities. The iPad came out this weekend and large crowds of technology enthusiasts were on line to purchase the product.
According to CNN.com, hundreds of people were in line overnight at the Apple store on 5th and 59th street and at other locations all over the country. When the doors opened at 9am, they were ready to be the group of first owners of the device.
Despite the hype around the iPad, stores reported having many in stock well into the day. The 16 gigabyte was more popular while the 32 and 64 lagged behind. While it is easy and convenient to carry around, the functional capabilities of the unique computer are less than a Macbook but surely more of an iPhone.
So the real question is: if you already own a Mac computer and an iPhone, do you need the iMac? And if you have an e-book, would you bother to purchase the device also?
