The Value of Your Last Name 2 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 1
Ok, so there are rumors floating around that Beyonce and Jay Z are going to combine their last names via this post in the Juice section.

So my question to you ladies out there is this....When you get married, are you definitely taking your husbands' last name? Do you plan on keeping your last name or want it hyphenated with your husbands' last name? and why?

I know some men feel that their woman not taking their last name is a slight to their manhood, so men out there, if your wife doesn't want to take your last name, would you be offended or as a compromise would you combine your last names together, to keep her family name going also?

Speak on it!

This is a good topic!

I love my last name, I've had it all my life, and take great pride in it.... but i also want to have great pride in my future husband and his last name.

I grew up in a household where my last name was different from my Mother's so I always told myself when I start my own family - everyone is going to have the same last name....

All in all, I prob would take my husband's last name

It's cute thought that Jay'z is willing to hyphenate his last name for Beyonce...

I will probably take my husband's last name. I want children myself and my husband all to have the same ending. In my family that is how it is. I think it means something special when everyone in the house have the same last name.

I love my last name but I will part with it if need be.
