Empress in the City- Negril Lounge

NYC young Black and fablous strikes again with the November Edition of Carribean Coctails Afterwork. This month, the meetup was in the Rhum Lounge inside Negril Village- 70 W. 3rd. (the heart of Chelsea).  Negril Village is one of those amazing happenstance spots you never forget.  Its small but authentic complete with Appelton Rum and Ting.

I never have a complaint about the waitstaff and the vibe is always on point with a spicy mix of Hip Hop and Reggae classics.  I arrived at 10- fashionably late of course to find a mixed bag of people looking fly and sophisticated.   The fellas were out and if you’re like me, a tall dark and handsome fella with some long neat dreads gets surreptious glances and sly smiles.  They were there by the droves and the sistas were representing too .

As usual everyone shared a collective vibe of uplifting our people doing the damn thang! This is an event not to be missed any month!  Next Months meetup will be December 18th at LQ’s.  RSVP on my blog to avoid entrance fees and VIP access.
