" I've
been with my boyfriend for almost a year now and he's never introduced
me to his friends. I've met his mom and other members of his family
but none of his friends. Does he really care about me or Is he
ashamed of me? "

If you've
been dating a man for nearly a year and met his family, but none
his friends I really wouldn't sweat it. Think about it, a
man's family naturally takes higher precedence over his friends...and
even though he chills, wild's out, or even converses with his boys
about various things...the opinions of his loved ones more than
likely comes first. The fact the he's even brought you
around his mother is definitely a good sign; and not that he views
you as some everyday quick chick.
You
would figure that friends and family meetings go hand in hand...but
on the flipside maybe he doesn't wan't you to meet his friends
because of who they are. You know how that old saying goes,
you can judge an individual by the company they keep. 1-
They could be snake type dudes, that realize how fly you are and
might try to slide some words in your ear away from your
man to get with you...but you being a virtuous woman would never
get down like that. 2- Possibly, because he knows them and
their history, not passing judgement, but if they go way back and some
of his friends might have criminal backgrounds or are non-progressive
individuals...he may not want to bring you around in fear that
you might view him differently; and he definitely does not want
to lose you.
All
in all, what's important is that this man wants to share the joy
you bring him with the people that care and love him the most...family
always comes first. But any good relationship is built
on trust, communication, and harmony...so you should feel comfortable
and free to discuss this and/or anything else with your mate.
